50 Families Are Now Using CarSchoolr
I'm proud to share that CarSchoolr just reached 50 families using the platform to coordinate school carpools.
A few years ago, it was nothing more than a Python script I wrote to automate carpool email notifications for my own carpool.
That little script gradually turned into a weekly schedule tracker, with a clean view showing each day's drop-off and pickup assignments. The schedule rotated between families using a simple round-robin system, which made it much easier to see who was responsible for each ride.
Eventually, I started wondering if this could be useful beyond my own carpool.
So I kept building.
Today, CarSchoolr is a full platform with carpool matching, connection requests, and scheduling. And now, 50 families across multiple schools are using it to coordinate rides to and from school.
What makes that milestone especially meaningful is how we got here. No ad budget. No sales team. Just parents telling other parents that there's an easier way to coordinate rides.
That kind of growth means a lot to me because it came from people finding the product useful enough to recommend it to someone else.
Fifty families might sound like a small number in the scheme of things. But behind that number are 50 families who now spend less time figuring out who is picking up whom, scrolling through group texts, and trying to coordinate schedules.
And that's really what CarSchoolr is about: making something that is unnecessarily complicated a little easier.
