Just a few weeks ago, Klay Thompson had officially left the Warriors for the Mavericks. Klay Thompson going to the Mavericks means that Luka and Kyrie will have another top-level scorer on their team. His presence would significantly improve the Mavs’ perimeter shooting, providing more spacing for Luka Dončić and other playmakers. Thompson brings a good amount of playoff experience, where the Warriors have done well and won 4 championships in his tenure. This could be useful for the Mavs as they made it to the finals this year and are looking to potentially win a championship. Additionally, Thompson’s defensive skills are decent as well; his ability to guard multiple positions will be helpful for the Mavericks, who have historically struggled in that department.
